Sheck.com WILL be a well lighted internet community where it will be safe to bring a diverse variety of families. Web sites on our servers shall reflect that fact. We will uphold the law of the land. If you can't do it in the real world, you can't do it here. Any patently illegal activity will be forwarded to law enforcement officials. If you break the rules. You will be given a chance to correct the situation prior to termination of your web site with the exception of spamming, pornography, or flame mail. We at Sheck.com are happy to have our invited guests come to our internet portal areas. Welcome! As with any activity, there are some rules needed to facilitate orderly conduct. We will try to keep it simple. General Terms

1. Persons under the age of 18 should be supervised / regulated by adults while on this server. Adults may fully regulate the online activity of their kids. This is for the protection of the kids. The children's online privacy act is the law of the land and therefore we do not provide services or seek information from underage persons. You must be eligible to vote to participate in our forums.

2. You are responsible for the content of your web site and e mail. We do not intend to regulate free speech. Our only requirement is that your site offer some positive socially redeeming contribution to the internet community, and that you refrain from tortfeasence, spamming, spoofing, and illegal activity. We have to say this to keep the lawyers happy :-)

3. Web Sites that advocate genocide, pornography, hatemongering bigotry, warez, hacking, fraud, copyright violation, and criminal drug abuse are not welcome at Sheck.com The federal courts have ruled that free expression does not include the right to advocate felonious conduct, or incite it.

Spamming and Spoofing Policy / Bulk E mail / Prohibited Activities policy

4. Zero tolerance will be given to spammers and spoofers. Bulk e mails with more than ten recipients in CC or Blind CC shall be deemed Spam for purposes of this rule regardless of content.

Non commercial mailings shall be exempt, if the recipient opted to sign up for that list.

4a."Flame mail" that is intended to incite inflammatory abuse, or harass, or make a personal attack on an individual or group is grounds for removal from the list. You are free to speak out against a persons position but do so without an attack on the persons integrity.

4b. We desire free speech for our patrons but will not an can not condone the following. Death threats. Commercial Spam. Intimidation of minority groups. Pornographic stories. Illegal conduct. Most people do not engage in these practices, to them we say, enjoy!!!!

5. Commercial mailings shall not be sent using the Sheck.com header or domain name. We can provide domain registration and site hosting for commercial web sites if needed. Spam is defined as unsolicited e mail or data that attempts to solicit money, services, advertises a web site, or bulk sales practice. Spoofing of mail headers is verboten.

6. Diverse people come to this online area, disputes will happen. Notify staff of Sheck.com if they do. Free speech is respected but we wish to avoid disruptive behavior in the password protected areas. If you must fuss or fight, take it to another area. This applies to disruptive political disputes and religious holy wars too. Hacking, punting, scrolling macro's, and cyber-spoofing of any type will get you banned, barred, and reported to your ISP immediately! Chat Channel takeovers shall have the same results.

7.Nude images of the human body shall not exist on our servers with the exception of those photographs that accompany a medical article written by a licensed medical doctor of medicine (Physician). Nude images are sometimes needed for medical education. We will respect the medical profession as a matter of policy. Outside of this medical exception total nudity shall not exist for purposes of adult entertainment. In short, NO PORN.

8. There are some Unscrupulous Internet Companies that cause domain names to be forwarded to a site that has nothing to do with the domain name. They often use the name of a famous person or title to trick people into coming to a different site. If you do this at Sheck.com, your site is history. This is domain spoofing. Domain forwarding is prohibited without expressed written permission from our staff. Virtual domain referrals rob Sheck.com of the right to determine a reasonable standard of care to protect our reputation in the internet community. We retain all rights to protect and defend our reputation against unscrupulous practices. If you hire one of these companies to deceive people into coming to your site on Sheck.com. Your site is subject to termination for this behavior.

9. As far as chat, message boards, or list servers go, Please refrain from obscene behavior or intense cursing. An occasional expletive will be forgiven. Sheck.com is far from prudish.

At Sheck.com we have message boards discussion forums that give you an opportunity to discuss and express your opinions on a great diversity of topics. At Sheck.com we encourage our web site visitors to express themselves. There are over thirty message board forums here for you to use to speak you mind. The rules are very simple for our message boards. Commercial Spam is prohibited. Links to commercial and or adult sites are not allowed on the message boards. Posted messages must not violate any law or statute. Enjoy!

10. Cruising for sexual favors or what is commonly known as cyber sex shall be prohibited. If a person is married, then overtly suggestive remarks are disrespectful of that persons spouse. Respect and peace is the right of all patrons of this area, and their family too.

11. Adult flirtations with persons known to be underage are very strictly prohibited. You will be asked to leave if you do this (By the police, if needed). It is our desire that persons under the age of thirteen refrain from visiting this site under the children's online privacy act of 1998

12.Sheck.com staff can make written exception to these rules, if it is potentially justified. That has yet to happen, but it may happen. It will never happen with spammers, scammers, or pornographers. Count on that.

16. With the exception of religious organizations, all payments for services at sheck shall be made by credit card. Acceptance of checks creates accounting problems for us. In the event checks are accepted, they can only be accepted for once a year annual hosting payments, and or to resolve a back balance, or to redeem a suspended web site. Those checks must be of an organizational or corporate type of account. Under no circumstances shall personal checks be accepted. Postal Money orders are preferred in lieu of organizational checks. We reserve the right to impose a fee of 25.00 for bounced checks.

17. We bill some accounts monthly and some quarterly and some yearly. It is your responsibility to notify us if you wish to terminate your services prior to the next billing date. Billing is automated and recurring according to the billing period mutually agreed upon until such time as a verified account termination order is received from the customer. Ten days notice is required and 30 days notice is preferred. In the event a refund is warranted, a pro rated refund will be given on a case by case basis with the exception of cases involving customer misconduct.
