It is with great respect and reverence that I anticipate the premier of:
We Are... Marshall
in Huntington West Virginia on December 12, 2006 at the Keith Albee Theatre. I was just a ten year old child in Huntington West Virginia when that plane crashed taking the Marshall University football team of 1970 into eternity. But I remember it like it was yesterday. Marshall University really was a small University in 1970 and at that time the old Fairfield Football Stadium was being renovated. Prior to the renovations the old Fair field Stadium only seated 3500 people and the expansion of the Marshall University Football Stadium increased seating to 12000. Later additions of end zone seating expanded capacity at the old Marshall University Football stadium to 14000. As a former Student at Marshall University I personally knew quite a few members of the faculty of Marshall University who were around at the time of the crash. I used to live in close proximity to the stadium back then and would sometimes go watch the practice sessions.
My parents owned a small restaurant just a block away from the Science Hall at Marshall University in 1970 and quite a few members of the football team used to eat at that restaurant, The restaurant was called the 17th Street Lunch. One of the players that stands out in my mind was a fellow named Shoebridge whom I remember gave me some football tickets to attend the Marshall University Football Game at Fairfield Stadium. I look forward to seeing the movie We Are...Marshall and I thank Warner Brothers for assisting Marshall University and my home town of Huntington WV in a positive light.

| The Marshall University movie appears to be over now. I am pleasd hat those who died in the football team plane crash got the recognition that they deserved. Thatmovie gave some closure to those who have been haunted by that crash for years. |
