In a speech, the Pope recalled "a conversation on the truths of Christianity and Islam that took place between a 14th-century Byzantine Christian emperor, Manuel II Paleologus, and a Persian scholar." Within the conversation, it was written "Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".
The Muslims went berserk, demonstrating in the streets, and burning the Pope in effigy, declaring that the Pope should apologize for what someone said back in the 14th Century.
I was watching a segment of The Sahara on the History Channel last night, and within the narration, it was stated, historically, that the Muslims would spread their religion by the sword.
I don't see any demostrations against the History Channel for their narrative on the matter, nor do I see any effigy burning of the producers of the program. |

And further, it was noted, in the documentary The Sahara, that the Islamist invaders, while spreading Islam by the sword across the northern Sahara from East to West, their battle cry: convert or die
And I still "don't see any demostrations against the History Channel for their narrative on the matter, nor do I see any effigy burning of the producers of the program." |
