The website administrator control panel includes a comprehensive statistical
dashboard on the status and usage of key site resources.
The dashboard provides a statistical overview of the following site
information:
- Website user and backup information
- Webalizer and Analog information
- Website Bandwidth information
- MySQL database information via the Ensim website hosting GUI interface.
- Status of website hosting services enabled for the site
Earlier releases of the Ensim Control Panel displayed the shortcuts section
on the Home page of the Site Administrator control panel. Beginning with Ensim
Control Panel 4.0, the site dashboard is displayed on the home page. The Ensm
shortcuts section can now be accessed using the Shortcuts link on the Home page.
The Ensim control panel offer the ability to switch between IP-based web
hosting plans and name-based web hosting plans.
The Ensim control panel enables you to switch between IP-based sites and
name-based sites when you update the existing site settings.
When you convert a name-based site to an IP-based site, you can offer Secure
Web (SSL) service that enables the Site Administrator to perform secure Web
operations. However, when you convert an IP-based site to a name-based site, the
Secure Web (SSL) service is disabled preventing further secure Web operations on
the site.
Automatic login capability for Site Administrators to the User Administrator
control panel
Site admin can automatically log on to the user administrator control panel
and perform administrative tasks on behalf of the user. To return to the Site
Administrator control panel, they must log out of the User Administrator control
panel and log on again as the Site Administrator.
Ensim offers password protection for directories.
Earlier versions of Ensim Control Panel enabled Site Administrators to
protect all the sub-directories and files placed in the directory /var/www/html
using the Site Administrator control panel. Thers capacities have been expanded
with more recent versions.
Ensim Control Panel now enables website administrators to extend
password-protection to all the sub-directories and files placed in the cgi-bin
directory /var/www/ , where is the name of the cgi-bin directory. Authenticated
access ensures that only users with access privileges can access the scripts in
the cgi-bin directory. For more information on protecting a directory, please
refer to the Online Help (accessible through the Help option on
the Ensim Site Administrator control panel).
